<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-06-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2007 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION A CRACKSEALING AND <br />SEALCOATING (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 07-01 THROUGH 07-07) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on April 24, 2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,. pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2007 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 8,2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2007 Street Maintenance Program <br />Division A Cracksealing and Sealcoating: <br /> <br />Allied Blacktop <br />Pearson Brothers <br />Astech Surface Technologies Corp. <br />Engineer Estimate <br /> <br />Bidder ! <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Bid <br />$ 284,530.28 <br />$ 294,032.06 <br />$ 312,179.29 <br />$ 302,382.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, Allied Blacktop is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />I . <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />I <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and Interim City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into a contract with Allied Blacktop in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2007 <br />Pavement Mafutenance Program - Division A, Cracksealing and Sealcoating <br />(Improvement Projects 07-01 through 07-07) in the amount of $284,530.28. <br />I <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />_ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-06-XXX <br />Page 1 of2 <br /> <br />-121- <br />
