Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report
April 2007

General Police Statistics and Hi2hli2hts

· Robbery Suspect Apprehended

On 4/11/07, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery report at
"Da Boookstore." The employee at the business reported that a male had approached
him from behind and tried to take his checkbook. As the employee pushed him away, he
was hit in the face by the suspect. The suspect then took approximately $250 in cash
from the employees' shirt pocket and left the business with the cash and some adult
magazines. Witnesses from nearby businesses were able to describe the male, the vehicle
he was driving, and were able to obtain a partial license plate number. Through a vehicle
search, the use of surveillance video from Super Bowl and suspect identification through
photo line ups, Ramsey Investigators were able to identify the suspect and establish
probable cause to arrest the male for felony aggravated robbery. He subsequently
admitted to the robbery and advised that he was "high on meth" at the time, and
committed the robbery to payoff a drug debt.

· Animal Control

Eight dogs were impounded in April. Six were released to their owners and two were
adopted.

· Speed Trailer Locations

4/16 14400 blk Bowers Dr NW
4/17 7700 blk Sunwood Dr NW
4/18 16800 blk Variolite St NW
4/19 Xkimo St NW/Alpine Dr NW
4/20 Sunwood Dr NW /Potassium St NW
4/23 7000 Riverdale Dr NW
4/24 Sunwood Dr NW/Radium St NW
4/25 145th Ln NW /Tungsten Way NW
4/26 14500 blk Waco St NW

-10-

1
