The room in <br />which the home occupation will take place is 312 square feet (24 x 13) in size, which equates to <br />10% (312 / 2,872) of the gross floor area. Florence will be the sole employee and she expects to <br />service a maximum of 1-2 clients per day. She would like to operate Monday- Sunday 7:00am <br />- 9:00pm. The in home massage therapy business will be secondary to her main employment as a <br />massage therapist in a clinic or chiropractic office. <br /> <br />The City has issued several similar home occupation permits in the past. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing and reviewed the proposed home occupation <br />request at their May 1, 2003 meeting. There was no citizen input during the public hearing. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve the home occupation <br />request for Florence Kahlstorf. <br /> <br />-207- <br /> <br /> <br />
