ORDER 2003 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM By: Steven J. Jankowski, City Engineer Background: The 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program consists of (a) five projects which consist of cracksealing and sealcoating of City streets (b) two projects which involve a one and one- half inch bituminous overlay of City streets, and (c) a o ne inch overlay of bituminous trails in Emerald Pond Park. Project 03-05 will be financed by MSA funds, however, special assessments will cover 28% of this project cost. The bituminous overlay of Emerald Pond Park trails will come from the park department general fund budget. Bids will be scheduled for June 6, 2003 and will be considered at the June 7, 2003 Council meeting. Recommendation: It is recommended that the Council accept plans and specifications and authorize solicitation of bids for the 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program. Action: Motion to accept plans and specifications and direct staff to solicit bids for the 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program.
