I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />Accept Resignation of Patrol Officer and Authorize Hire of Patrol Officer <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On April 25, 2003 Officer Greg Sullivan submitted a letter of <br />resignation effective May 9, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff is requesting authorization to fill the Patrol Officer position <br />left vacant by Mr. Sullivan's resignation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in November 2002 the. City conducted a recruitment process for a <br />Patrol Officer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in this time of significant budget constraints staff would like to <br />maximize the investment of time and money that were dedicated to the most recent <br />recruitment process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the most recent recruitment process revealed a very qualified <br />candidate, Ryan Law, who continues to be interested in working for the City as a Patrol <br />Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />A. Accept Greg Sullivan's resignation from his position as Patrol Officer with <br /> the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Hire Ryan Law as a Patrol Officer at $42,455 almually. All other personnel <br />polices will apply normally. This appointment is contingent upon a <br />satisfactory pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen.
