Capital Improvement Program ~ 2007 rhru 2011
Contact
City of Ramsey, Minnesota.
Department Park Improvements
Project # 0C_pA~{_013 Type Improvement
Useful Life 20 Years
Project Name peltzer Park Connections
Category Park Improvement
Priority n/a
Total Project Cost 525,000
Description
Extending the access trail to the play equipment -around the cul de sac easterly to right-of--way on 148th lane,
The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part of the lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow forstreet,
and/or trail connections from 148th to the cul de sac of Garnet Street.
Justification
Two important trail opportunities exist relative to Peltzer Park. The first is immediately available, and consists of extending the access trail to the
play equipment -around the cul de sac easterly to right-of--way on 148th lane. This provides residents of Regency Ponds more of a direct access to
the park.
The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part of the lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow for street,
and/or trail connections from 148th to the cul de sac of Garnet Street, and thereby improve access to both Peltzer and Alpine Parks - as well as
provide a circuitous walking loop within these neighborhoods. (See also Savanna Trail bridge.)
Modest signa a and im roved landscape at Peltzer would be a benefit as well.
Expenditures 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Total
Improvements Other than .Build 25,000 25,000
Total 25,000 25,000
Funding Sources 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Total
Park Improvement Trust Fund 25,000 25,000
Total 25,000 25,000
Revised 09/OG
-1 15- 57
