-144- Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved roi' its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-052 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR AN OPPORTUNITY GIL4.NT THROUGH THE LIVABLE COMMUNITYES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing Incentive Program for 2003 as determined by Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and WHEREAS, the City has identified a proposed project with the City that meets the Demonstration Account's purposes and criteria; and WHEREAS, the City has institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and WHEREAS, the City Council o£ Ramsey, Minnesota agrees to act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the opportunity grant application to be submitted on Jnne 2, 2003. each municipality must identi fy to the Metropolitan Council the actions the municipality plans to NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RiESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, SATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the P~amsey City Administrator is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council For this funding on behalf of the City of' Ramsey and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City.
