-258- 4) 5) asked for infommtion on the Rivers Pointe development in Anoka. There was discussion of the potential for market-rate development on the city-owned property west of Sunfish Lake. Chair Kiefer discussed a possible mixed~income development. City Administrator Norman asked if the committee was interested in sending out a Request for Proposals (RFP) on the site; the consensus was yes. Chair Kiefer said the committee needs to think about the group's vision; he hoped the committee could ' pursue some unique projects, Consensus of the group was to brainstorm development ideas for the tlu-ee city-owned properties for the next meeting, and staff was directed to bring a sample RFP. City Administrator Norman asked for clarification on the previous meeting's discussion on park development on the property west of Sunfish Lake, Staff noted that the consensus of the group was that staff should continue to evaluate residential development opportunities on the site. Park development west of Snnfish Lake is under investigation by the Park Commission. Approve request for joint Anoka County/City exploration of senior housing project. Community Development Intern Geisler reviewed the County's interest in updating a 1998 senior housing needs study for the City of Ramsey, in anticipation of a new senior housing project possibly in the Town Center or near the commercial node at Highway 47 and 167reAve NW. Motion by Chair Kiefer to authorize the draft letter approving joint Anoka County/City exploration of a senior housing project, Dick Krueger seconded, motion passed. Review in formation on tax revenue generated by different types of residential development. Chair Kiefer asked that Case #3 be brought back at the next meeting.
