Voting No: None. <br /> <br />7) Authorize Hiring of Human Resource Manager <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that Givonna Reed be hired for the position of full-time <br />Human Resources Manager at a starting wage of $63,186 plus benefits and three weeks vacation <br />contingent upon successful completion of background checks, employment physical, and <br />drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />05-115 authorizing the hiring of Givonna Reed for the position of full-time Human Resource <br />Manager. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />8) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Paid On-Call Fire Fighters <br />The City Council acted on this item earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />Case #14: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />The Finance Committee met on May 13, 2003 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) Receive Bids and Award Contract for Roof Repairs to City Buildings <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council award contract for roof repairs to <br />City buildings to Four Seasons Roofing in the amount of $33,291 and to authorize staff to <br />proceed with replacement of the soffit lights for both park buildings at a not-to-exceed amount of <br />$5,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt <br />Resolution #03-05-116 awarding the contract to Four Seasons Roofing, and to authorize staff to <br />proceed with replacement of the soffit lights for both park buildings at a not-to-exceed amount of <br />$5,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Cook, <br />Elvig, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to adopt <br />Resolution #03-05-116 authorizing funds from the Equipment Revolving Fund be used for these <br />repairs. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Cook, Elvig, <br />Pearson and Strommen.
