.

Chairperson McDilda stated that the EPB only meets once a month, with a maximum of
11 meetings. He inquired whether some of the items on the existing work plan could be
"B" priority items versus "A" priority items.

Chairperson McDilda suggested combining the first two bullet points and listing them as
an "A" priority. He suggested that "Create a Public Grants and Funding Calendar" could
be a "B" priority.

Board Member Max concurred that any board in the city could work with creating a
public grants and funding calendar.

Board Member Bentz replied that there is a web site that lists grants for government
programs.

Board Member Max stated that public foundations should be included in order for it to be
a comprehensive listing of public grants and funding.

Chairperson McDilda suggested that "Research Open Space Referendum", the "Wetland
Inventory", and "Encourage citizen participation" bullet points should all be "A"
priorities.

Chairperson McDilda suggested that the "waste stream management" bullet point be a
"B" priority.

.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that the "Tree Bank" proposal could be a
"B" priority. Coordinator Anderson volunteered to work with this bullet point and he
will report back to the EPB with new language.

Chairperson McDilda stated there is still a lot of work around wetland buffers so it will
be necessary to encourage citizen participation.

Chairperson McDilda stated that "Address other environmental issues as identified and
assigned" bullet point was dependent on the issue. He asked if it was even necessary to
have this on the work plan as a bullet point.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that it is a given that Board address other
issues if so directed by City Council and thus, didn'tthink it needed to be on the plan.

Chairperson McDilda concurred with Environmental Coordinator Anderson to take it off
the list because it is a given responsibility to fulfill the wishes of the City Council as a
Board.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson asked if the new work plan should be put on the
agenda for the next EPB meeting for final adoption.

.

Motion by Board Member Max and seconded by Board Member Sibilski to adopt the
2006/2007 work plan as amended.

Environmental Policy Board!
