June 3, 2007 <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />Dear Sirs: <br />The Notice of Public hearing regarding the request by Armstrong Ranch Kennels for an <br />amendment to an existing Conditional Use Permit invited comments. We are submitting the <br />following comment. <br />This Memorial Day we were in our backyard at 16261 Royal Road working and were disturbed to <br />hear continuous barking coming from the direction of the Armstrong Ranch Kennels. This barking <br />continued unabated for approximately one to two hours. I moved to our patio outside the kitchen <br />hoping that the disturbance would be less there, but it was not. <br />We are in our backyard from time to time working and have noticed this barking before but not <br />often. I would hope that the animals are cared for at the kennels in such a way that they do not <br />bark so much. Maybe it is good for dogs to bark from time to time, but this barking was <br />disturbing. <br />If the requested amendment would lead to our hearing such barking more often, I would surely <br />hope that it is not granted.
