CASE # I I
CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ACQUISITION OF TEMPORARY EASEMENTS
FOR RAMSEY TOWN CENTER 10 ADDITION
By: Brian E. Olson, Director of Public Works/Principal City Engineer
Background:
The City Council approved Ramsey Town Center 10 Addition almost 2 years ago. As a
condition of the plat approval, a retaining wall was to be constructed along the north side
of the plat as shown in the attachment. Since the construction of that wall was to be built
near the south property line of the adjacent residents, Staff added a condition that the
Developer would be responsible for acquiring temporary construction easements
wherever there was to be impacts to existing homeowners.
Last year we were requested by the Developer to negotiate on their behalf for those
easements. Attached to the case are the temporary 60 day construction easements for the
four properties that would necessary for construction of the wall. Within these easement
documents are the obligations of the Developer for which the easements were granted.
Funding:
The total negotiated amount for these 4 parcels has no financial impact to the City of
Ramsey.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the completed negotiations with the four (4) property
owners.
Council Action:
Motion to approve the completed temporary easement acquisitions for properties along
the north side of Ramsey Town Center 10 Addition.
Review Checklist:
Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer
CC: 6/26/07
-361-
