• Interim City Administrator Nelson stated staff believes there is a need to account for those costs, <br />and they cannot defer them. They need to attribute the costs to these projects, and they will get <br />creative about that if needed. Staff is working on this internally. <br />Mayor Gamec inquired about TIF funding used with Crest View <br />Public Works . Director Olson replied streetscape costs are included at this point in the TIF <br />funding. <br />Councilmember Elvig inquired about the status of the $3 million Letter of Credit. <br />Mr. Bray replied the hearing is scheduled for June 18 The City filed a motion for, summary <br />judgment and the answer has not been filed. <br />Interim City Administrator Nelson indicated staff will come back with more discussion in <br />general about the Development Agreement and dealing with the Crest View and PSD projects as <br />they move forward. Staff thinks it is important to keep those projects on track. <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard Design Meeting <br />Public Works Director Olson stated Commissioner Berg will not be able to attend the Sunfish <br />Lake Boulevard design meeting on June 19 and has asked that it be rescheduled to June 26 th . <br />Interim City Administrator Nelson indicated the meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a short <br />presentation by the auditors and at least 1 to 1 % hours dedicated to Sunfish Lake Boulevard <br />discussions: <br />Median Closures / Highway 47 <br />Councilmember Elvig stated regarding the closure of medians at Bunker Lake Boulevard, he <br />received a call from a business on Highway 47 making him aware that Snyder'. s closed last <br />week. Their business is down 40 %, Wendy's business is down 35 %, and someone else is <br />thinking about closing. He stated it sounds to him as though the businesses are more than <br />struggling at this point. The voice mail he received stated that the businesses will sign a <br />document that shows the impact that median closure had on their business. <br />Mayor Gamec stated the City of Anoka approved that plan and said they had talked to the <br />businesses and told them the closures would take place. <br />Public Works Director Olson indicated it is expected that there will be at least one, if not two, <br />members of the Economic Development Authority present at the meeting on June 26 when <br />Anoka County is present. This directly relates to the issue of the design of the medians between <br />• the railroad track and Highway 10. He has talked to Police Chief Way, and there was a <br />significant accident history at that crossing area that he has said has been completely resolved. .. <br />City Council Work Session / June 5, 2007 <br />Page 11 of 12 —49— <br />
