C -II <br />RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF NEW RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Management Intern <br />Background: <br />At the regular meeting of May 24 th , 2005, Council established levels of authority for use during <br />the construction of the new <br />Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: <br />City Council: <br />Approval of project change orders greater than $25,000 <br />Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by <br />ratification at regular Council meetings <br />Facilities Committee: <br />Approval of project change orders in excess of $10,000 and less <br />than $25,000, ratified by City Council <br />Project Team: <br />Approval of project change orders of up to $10,000 by Heidi A. <br />Nelson, Interim City Administrator, ratified by City Council <br />This case represents the ratification of change orders that have been approved by the Project <br />Team and Facilities Committee. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Ratify the following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Change Order No. 1073 -01 $1,987.00 <br />Caulk anchor points at masonry walls; caulk cap stones. <br />Change Order No. 1051 -09 ($2,881.50) <br />Additional steel support for folding door; modify window; modify window angle; <br />delete angle; adjust edges of celestory roof at police station. <br />Change Order No. 1051 -10 $3,708.60 <br />Backcharges; Reinforcement at reception doors; gate at ships ladder at Stair C. <br />TOTAL CHANGE ORDERS 04/24/07- 06/26/07: $2,814.10 <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for the Change Order will come from the new Ramsey Municipal Center project budget. <br />Council Action: <br />Consider authorizing Resolution No. 07- 06 -xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of <br />new Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Interim City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />CC: 06/26/2007 <br />_95_ <br />
