<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-04-115 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, employee recognition events meet the definition of public purpose <br />expenditures as per the City of Ramsey Discretionary Expenditures Policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council recognizes the service and hard work of <br />employees of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council believes that its Employee Recognition Program <br />benefits the public by attracting, retaining and motivating employees, which results in higher job <br />satisfaction and increased productivity, which result in excellent public service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, continuation of the program is dependent upon the availability of funding. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council approves an Employee Recognition Program that recognizes the <br />following employees: <br /> <br />· Employees with at least five years of service will be recognized at 5 year intervals <br />and allowed to choose gifts valued at $5 per year service <br /> <br />· Employees retiring from the city of Ramsey with at least twenty years of service <br />will be honored at an all-staff cake and coffee reception. <br /> <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
