<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-05-118 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF STAINLESS STEEL COUNTERS <br />FOR THE NEW PARK SHEL TER AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has generously donated $367,000 for a new Park <br />Shelter at Central Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council authorized the addition of water and septic service for the <br />Shelter to aid the youth association in concession sales, and greatly improve the quality of use of <br />the Shelter and park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the original plans and specifications, work counters within the <br />concession sales area were not included; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the water and septic service authorized by Council included a sink for the <br />counter, and this omission was discovered only after this authorization; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka Ramsey Youth AtWetic Association intends on funding 50% of <br />the $4,986 dollar counter expense, pending their Board approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lawful Gambling proceeds are collected by the City and held in a Fund for <br />the benefit of Ramsey residents' recreational improvements and these monies were used for the <br />plumbing and septic service <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the purchase of two, stainless <br />steel counters in the not-to-exceed amount of $4,986 for the new Park Shelter at Central <br />Park with funding from the Lawful Gambling Fund, with the intention that $2,493 may <br />be received by the youth association for one-half of this improvement. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen, and upon vote beii1g taken thereon,. the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Olson <br />
