Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-04-109 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #07-07 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL MSA STREETS) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted December 12, 2006, a feasibility study for the 2007 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #07-07 (Sealcoat and Crackfill MSA Streets) and; WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #07-01-030 on January 23,2007, fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement, and; WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held on February 13th, 2007, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and - WHEREAS, the City has waited the required sixty (60) days following the public hearing. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed on April 24, 2007. 2) City Engineer Steve Jankowski is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. 3) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Olson Councilmember Dehen Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Look Councilmember Strommen and the following voted against the same: none RESOLUTION #07-04-109 Page 1 of2
