Voting No: None. <br /> <br /> MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Special City Council Meeting <br /> <br /> Mr. Schroeder announced the special City Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, <br /> 1997, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the request of Communicor for an interim use permit for a <br /> temporary office structure. <br /> <br />2) Groundbreakings <br /> <br /> Mr. Schroeder announced a groundbreaking for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, for Northpoint <br /> Investment and another for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, for Precision Wood Products. <br /> <br />3) Grand Opening <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder announced that Vision-Ease Lens is planning their grand opening for the morning <br />of September 8. More information to follow. <br /> <br />4) Building Inspections <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec read a letter from a resident questioning the quality of Ramsey's building <br />inspections in comparison to other cities. He responded that Ramsey's inspector's perform eight <br />inspections on a home which is actually more extensive than most cities. He added that he will <br />respond in writing to this letter. <br /> <br />5) BB Guns <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he has been getting some questions about the legality of BB guns in the <br />City. <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson stated they are not allowed in the City at all. <br /> <br />6) Highway Committee Meeting <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen talked about the committee meetings held to discuss highway <br />improvements and asked that updates be presented to the residents. <br /> <br />7) Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />It was determined that a short presentation will be made on a subsequent Council agenda with <br />regard to the comp plan process. <br /> <br />City Council/July 22, 1997 <br /> Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
