CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson introduced Officer Cheryl Carlson who, on August 1, 1997, became the <br />City's fourteenth Police Officer. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Terry Hendriksen, 15631 Ramsey Boulevard NW, Ramsey, expressed concern that, if the <br />Council is planning to modify the City's sewer and water district during the Comprehensive Plan <br />review, they abide by what is laid out for them in the recently added Chapter 14 to the City's <br />Charter. <br /> <br />Council assured him that at this point, information is being gathered. No action has been taken <br />and they have every intent of following what the City's Charter lays out. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich added that he will advise the Council when the effectiveness of the <br />Charter should come into play. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to approve the <br />agenda with the addition of the following: <br /> <br />City Council/August 26, 1997 <br /> Page 3 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
