It is unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile any place within the limits of the <br />City unless it is equipped with the following: 1. Brakes. <br /> 2. A safety or "dead man throttle" in operating condition. <br /> 3. One clear attached lamp to the front of the snowmobile with sufficient <br /> intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of 100 feet ahead during <br /> the hours of darkness or reduced visibility. Such a lamp shall be so aimed that <br /> glaring rays are not projected into the eyes of an oncoming motor vehicle <br /> operator. It shall also be equipped with at least one red tail lamp of sufficient <br /> intensity. <br /> <br />4. Snowmobiles must have a least 16 square inches of reflective material on <br />each side forward of the handle bars, so as to reflect at a 90 degree angle. <br /> <br />5. A standard operating muffler. <br /> <br />5.06.08 <br /> <br />Snowmobiles cannot be operated in any City park unless a road or path is <br />designated for such purpose. There are no such road/path/trails at this <br />time. <br /> <br />Other Prohibited Areas (Unless posted to permit snowmobiling): <br /> <br />1. Golf courses. <br />2. Railroad right of ways. <br />3. Farm fields. <br />4. School grounds. <br />5. In a tree nursery or planted area. <br />6.
