CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator Linda Waite Smith <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and <br />Councilmember Beahen led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Bethany Schuerman, a third-grader at Ramsey Elementary School, was present to ask the Mayor <br />and Council questions about Ramsey's population, number of households, when Ramsey became <br />a City, the number of miles of streets in Ramsey and also what you have to do to interrupt a <br />wetland for a road. Bethany was one of the children in her class chosen for an extra assigmnent <br />about her City. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted two students present from the Elk River School District who are to view the <br />Council meeting and report back to their school. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the <br />following items on the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Schedule Road and Bridge Committee Meeting for 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, <br />1997 <br />Note the following Committee, Commission and Board Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />City Council/November 25, 1997 <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
