<br />Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-06-156 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 05-41 <br />WELL HOUSE NO.4 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 22, 2007 the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution accepting <br />plans and specifications and authorizing the solicitation of bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 05-41, Well <br />House No.4, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Bid <br />Rice Lake Construction Group <br />Magney Construction, Inc. <br />Encomm Midwest, Inc. <br /> <br />$ 286,200.00 <br />314,300.00 <br />338,833.00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rice Lake Construction Group is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with Rice Lake Construction Group for Improvement Project 05-41, Well House <br />No.4 in the amount of $286,200.00 (two hundred eight-six thousand two hundred dollars and <br />no cents) ; and <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-06-156 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
