<br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-07-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #06-22, RAMSEY TOWN CENTER CITY PHASE 2 <br />SEGMENT 2 <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, on June 12,2007, City Council adopted-Resolution #07-06-143 approving <br />the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #06-22, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />Hydrocon <br />Kober Excavating, Inc. <br />Dryden Excavating <br />North Valley <br />Northwest Asphalt <br />Knife River <br />Rum River Contracting <br />Northdale Construction <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />Dave Perkins Contracting <br />Engineers Estimate: <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br />$323,518.55 <br />$341,929.28 <br />$346,378.54 <br />$344,085.91 <br />$352,819.10 <br />$366,144.14 <br />$375,351.19 <br />$387,218.78 <br />$390,482.14 <br />$397,976.50 <br />$370,634.50 <br /> <br />AND. WHEREAS, it appears that Hydrocon is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE .CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Hydrocon in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project #06-22 in the amount of$323,518.55. <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />-207- <br />
