C. ..lc Councilmember _ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-07-XXX A RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY NO 2 TO NORTHWEST ASPHALT FOR BUNKER LAKE BOULEVARD W ATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the AUAR prepared for the Ramsey Town center has identified the need for . additional well capacity for the City's water utility; and WHEREAS, Bids have been accepted for the construction of Well No.7 and Well No.8; and WHEREAS, extension of the existing water system will be required to connect Well No. 7 and Well No.8 to the system; and WHEREAS, Bolton and Menk, Inc was authorized to prepare plans and specifications for this work; and WHEREAS~ on September 26, 2006 the Ramsey City Council authorized the advertisement for bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Bunker Lake Blvd Watermain Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial pay No 1 to Northwest Asphalt Inc. the amount of $266,030.08. WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial pay No 2 to Northwest Asphalt Inc. the amount of $8,706.14. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. for Impr()vement Project #05-41 in the amount of$8,706.14. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of July 24, 2007.
