<br />CASE # 1 <br /> <br />PRESENTATION ON COMPREHENSIVE STORM WATER PLAN <br />By: Chris Anderson, Environmental Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In preparation for the. Comprehensive Plan Update, the City is completing a Comprehensive <br />Storm Water Plan that will review and summarize how the wetlands, lakes, creeks, county <br />ditches, ponds, and storm sewer system interact to convey storm water. The Comprehensive <br />Storm Water Plan will also assist with administering the National Pollutant Discharge <br />Elimination System (NPDES), which is a program mandated by the Environmental Protection <br />Agency, and provide flood elevation data that will eventually be incorporated into new Flood <br />Insurance Maps for FEMA's Flood Insurance Program. <br /> <br />In May, Bolton & Menk, Inc was awarded the contract to complete this work. A component of <br />their proposal included completing the Wetland Functions and Values study for the 200 plus <br />wetlands that were not ground-truthed by Westwood Professional Services. Bolton & Menk, Inc <br />has completed the wetland analyses as well as a draft version of the Comprehensive Storm Water <br />Plan. <br /> <br />EPB Action <br /> <br />No action is necessary as this is for informational purposes only. <br /> <br />EPB: 7/23/07 <br />
