Storm Water Utility Fund <br />The Storm Water Utility Fund is used to account for all storm water revenues and expenses for the City. <br />This fund was created in 2000 to fund drainage problems throughout the City. <br />The following is a summary of the operations of the fund for 2000: <br />Fund Equity consisted of the following on December 31, 2000: <br />INTERNAL SERVICE FUND <br />EXPENDABLE TRUST FUNDS <br />Operating revenues <br />Operating expenses <br />xvii <br />2000 <br />Operating revenues $ 250,301 <br />Operating expenses 89,144 <br />Operating income $ 161,157 <br />2000 <br />Contributed capital $ 265,517 <br />Retained earnings 153,837 <br />Total fund equity $419,354 <br />The Internal Service Fund is used to account for the City's insurance refunds, dividends, and other <br />miscellaneous insurance related revenues, and to provide for self - insuring the deductible portions of the <br />City's insurance policies.
