Recommendations <br /> <br />Based on its review of the current level of economic development, housing, and <br />community development programs and services provided by existing agencies, <br />existing gaps in programs and services, and the capacity and ability of existing <br />agencies to expand their activities; the Anoka County Economic Development <br />Exploratory Committee submits these recommendations to the Anoka County <br />Board of Commissioners for its consideration: <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation 1: Authorize the Anoka County HRA to operate as an EDA <br />under Minnesota Statutes Sections 469.090 to 469.1081, noting that none of the <br />County's general government subdivisions exercises planning and development <br />control beyond its boundaries. Minnesota Statutes Section 469.1082 <br />subdivision 3 specifically require the committee to identify the distance that a <br />city controls beyond its bound if applicable.
