8150 _142nd Avenue NW
Ramsey, MN 55303

July 23, 2007

City of Ramsey Planning Commission
City of Ramsey, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
Att.: Mr. Patrick Trudgeon

Dear Mr. Trudgeon,

We are in receipt of your notice of a public hearing to consider a request by Mr.
Chad Wiech for a variance to allow a septic system within the MUSA south of our
residence with the purpose of building a house at Outlot A, Alpaca Estates 3rt!
addition.

We hereby voice our objection to the variance. It has been our understanding at
the time we bought our lot that the outlot will never be developed because it
belongs to home owners of Alpaca Estate for the purpose of access to the river.
Additionally, the lot is less than the size of lot that is required in all of Alpaca
Estate. We believe that giving a variance to the outlot violates our contract.

In addition, we also have grave concern on allowing a variance to the septic
system. Our house is right adjacent to the proposed septic system. When we
build our house in 1995, we were told that because of the soil condition and
water table level in the area, a mound type of septic drainfield was required
which we did install. With the smaller and narrower size of the outlot, any septic
system to be built will be too close to our house and our well. This will definitely
pose an excessive health risk to our family.

We will be at the hearing to voice our objection. Thank you very much.

Sincerely Yours,

lJ(U/I'~ r;;:~

Dr and Mrs. David Lee

6
