COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT

Anoka Parks and Recreation - Mr. Boos noted minutes from the Anoka County Parks and Recreation
meeting. Bid awards for Rum River Central were one topic.

Northfork Homeowners Association - A letter was received requesting assistance for traffic control
purposes (i.e. stop sign) to and from the park. Chairperson Cook expressed concern about setting
a precedent of excessive signage. Legal implications of signage with accompanied assumed risk was
discussed.

Commission consensus was to recommend that trails will remain natural, whereas signage would be
more problematic versus cost effective.

Cable TV Wrap Up - Mr. Boos reminded members about the desire for the local cable television
company to conduct a post meeting wrap up interview. He encouraged members to volunteer to give
an interview on a rotating basis. Commissioner Ostrum believed this is a good vehicle to keep
residents abreast of Commission business and inform people of who Commission members are.

Commissioner Rolfe agreed to provide a post meeting wrap up interview in August. Commissioner
LaMere agreed to do so in September. Commissioner Rolfe will contact Alena Hunter from the cable
television company.

ADJOURN

Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner Rolfe to adjourn the meeting.

Motion carded.
