State Statute requires cities within the metro area to update their Comprehensive Plans every ten years under the guidance of the Metropolitan Council. In lieu of a typical task force style review committee, the city is embarking on a series of collaborative planning sessions where all interested residents serve as the task force. The first sessions tool<- place Wednesday, August 1 and August 22 (as advertised via postcard to all Ramsey residents and on the homep- age of our website). The first ses- sion included discussions about the history, demographic and economic ll3-PP.:v d ~.~~ ~ \ 00 ~ ~ ~~. ~ ~ ~/ S of R3m~@Y Happy Days, held annually in Ramsey Town Center, returns with all the great traditions, plus some new exciting events and sponsors. This year marks the inau- gural "Sl<-y Concert" presented by BOB FM. Bring your radios to the Ramsey Municipal Center and tune into 106.1 BOB FM and check out the musically choreographed fire- works show. Parking is provided in the municipal parking ramp adjacent characteristics of Ramsey while the second session discussed balancing private property rights with the public interest. Future sessions will focus on issues identified at the resident- initiated Ramsey3 visioning sessions held in May and June. These plan- ning sessions are structured in a way that the residents convene discussion groups and record their ideas to be in- corporated into the plan. The remain- ing dates and topics are as follows: September 12 - Identifying, Protect- ing, and Enhancing Natural Resourc- es October 3 - Housing Choices, Ap- Happy Days Returns With a Bang! to the Municipal Center. After the fireworks, check out the final set of the Rocl<-in' Hollywoods. The city of Ramsey is excited to worl<- with one of the newest members of the Ramsey community, BOB FM, which is in the process of moving to their new facil- ity in Ramsey. Homes is hosting the event on Sun- day, September 16 to raise funds for the "Hope House." In early 2007, a house was constructed with the intent of serving a family needing to eliminate barriers for a person with disabilities.
