State Statute <br />requires cities within the metro area <br />to update their Comprehensive Plans <br />every ten years under the guidance <br />of the Metropolitan Council. In lieu <br />of a typical task force style review <br />committee, the city is embarking on <br />a series of collaborative planning <br />sessions where all interested residents <br />serve as the task force. <br />The first sessions tool<- place <br />Wednesday, August 1 and August <br />22 (as advertised via postcard to all <br />Ramsey residents and on the homep- <br />age of our website). The first ses- <br />sion included discussions about the <br />history, demographic and economic <br /> <br />ll3-PP.:v d <br />~.~~ ~ <br />\ 00 ~ <br />~ ~~. ~ <br />~ ~/ S <br />of R3m~@Y <br />Happy Days, held annually <br />in Ramsey Town Center, returns with <br />all the great traditions, plus some new <br />exciting events and sponsors. <br />This year marks the inau- <br />gural "Sl<-y Concert" presented by <br />BOB FM. Bring your radios to the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center and tune <br />into 106.1 BOB FM and check out <br />the musically choreographed fire- <br />works show. Parking is provided in <br />the municipal parking ramp adjacent <br /> <br />characteristics of Ramsey while the <br />second session discussed balancing <br />private property rights with the public <br />interest. <br />Future sessions will focus <br />on issues identified at the resident- <br />initiated Ramsey3 visioning sessions <br />held in May and June. These plan- <br />ning sessions are structured in a way <br />that the residents convene discussion <br />groups and record their ideas to be in- <br />corporated into the plan. The remain- <br />ing dates and topics are as follows: <br /> <br />September 12 - Identifying, Protect- <br />ing, and Enhancing Natural Resourc- <br />es <br />October 3 - Housing Choices, Ap- <br /> <br />Happy Days <br />Returns With a Bang! <br /> <br />to the Municipal Center. After the <br />fireworks, check out the final set of <br />the Rocl<-in' Hollywoods. The city of <br />Ramsey is excited to worl<- with one <br />of the newest members of the Ramsey <br />community, BOB FM, which is in the <br />process of moving to their new facil- <br />ity in Ramsey. <br />Happy Days is also proud <br />to be a sponsor of the First Annual <br />Hope Walk, Benefit Concert, and <br />Silent Auction. Now is the time to get <br />involved and have an impact on the <br />community! <br /> <br />Homes is hosting the event on Sun- <br />day, September 16 to raise funds for <br />the "Hope House." In early 2007, <br />a house was constructed with the <br />intent of serving a family needing to <br />eliminate barriers for a person with <br />disabilities.
