Staff Updates <br /> <br />Building Projects: Two projects have received approval from the <br />Central Minnesota Development Corporation for their SBA approvals. These <br />two projects, Northstar Die Casting and Minnesota Tool & Die Works. Both <br />of these facilities are currently expecting to begin construction in July with a <br />fall completion date. Northstar Die Casting will also be applying for a$75,000 <br />grant from DTED for job creation. The City has also received a reservation <br />for a 1.7± acre site in the Ramsey Business Park for a 15,000 square foot <br />facility. <br />Groundbreakings: The City Council approved the site plans for 3 buildings <br />at the May 28, 1997 meeting for the AMCON, Precision Wood and KCI <br />construction facilities. The approval of these 3 buildings will result in the <br />construction of over 108,000 square feet of space. The groundbreakings for <br />these facilities will be held in the near future so if anyone has a preference as <br />to the date or time please let me know at the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
