The fonowing is a brief summary of actions <br />taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Home Occupation Permit for Jeff Anderson: The City Council approved the request for a home <br />occupation pennit for an in-home alternative healing business. <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat and Final Site Plan Approval of Ramsey Town Center 13th Addition and the <br />Anoka County Medical Examiner Facility: Both the Plat and the Site Plan were approved by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat and Final Site Plan Approval of GADS Prairie: The City Council tabled [mal <br />plat and final site plan approval of GADS Prairie. The City Attorney was directed to meet with the <br />applicant and his attorney to explore the use of eminent domain to acquire right of way and construct <br />Helium Street through GADS Prairie north to 146tb Avenue. Construction of Helium Street to 146tb with <br />the development of GADS Prairie would eliminate the need for a temporary access onto CSAH #5, which <br />Council believes to be a significant public safety concern. <br /> <br />Proposed amendments to Chapter 5, Public Nuisance:' The City Council introduced the ordinance to <br />amend the Public Nuisance section of Chapter 5 on August 14. . The ordinance was presented on August <br />28 for [mal adoption. Considerable discussion regarding additional modifications to tbe ordinance <br />occurred and Council tabled the case to a future work session. <br /> <br />Request For Preliminary Plat Approval of Regency Pond 401 Addition and a Rezoning of the TSM <br />Development Site: City Council approved the preliminary plat for 4 lots on the northeast corner of <br />Bunker Lake Blvd. and Ramsey Blvd. and a rezoning of the portion of the property from E-1 <br />Employment to B-1 Business. <br /> <br />Request For Extension to Submit Final Plat for Skyline Pointe Subdivision: The City Council 'granted <br />a one year extension to Skyline Partners, LLC to submit the final plat for Skyline Point Subdivision in the <br />southwest corner of CSAH #5 and Alpine Drive. The approved preliminary plat consisted of 47 single <br />family bungalows and townhomes. <br /> <br />Request For Appeal of Board of Adjustment Decision: Chad Wiech submitted a request for an appeal of <br />the August 2nd Board of Adjustment decision to deny his request for a variance to develop a lot in Alpaca <br />Estates with an on-site septic system versus the required sanitary sewer and municipal water services <br />required in the Urban Service Area. The City Council upheld the decision of the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Process: The Comp Plan series of collaborative planning sessions with the public, <br />city staff, council and commission members, and the City's consultant continues to be a success. The <br />remaining schedule is September 12 - natural resources, October 3 - housing choices, October 24 - <br />extension of urban services, November 14 - traffic corridor improvements, December 5 - visioning and <br />marketing Ramsey. <br /> <br />pc: 9/06/07 <br /> <br />97 <br /> <br />
