Illumination. /'illy site lighting or illuminated sign located on the <br />gro:md, or on a building or in a '.dndow which changes in either color or intensity of light shall not <br />be permitted, except s'Jch a sign gh'ing public seryice information such us time, date, tcmperature, <br />weuther or similar information sha11 be p0I'111.itted. The Zoning f....dministrator in grunting permits <br />for illuminated signs shall specify the hours during '1;hich the same may be kept lighted in order to <br />pre'v'ent the crea-:.io11 of a n::i3u11oe. There shall be 110 :'l$C of re.;oh'ing beacons, zip flashers or <br />similar devices ,,,'hich cause any of the sources of light to change in intensity, unless as permitted <br />above.External illumination for signs shall be so constructed and maintained that thesolU"ce of <br />light is not visible. <br /> <br />. Subd.3. Temporarv Signs. Temporarv signs are allO\ved for up to 6 weeks <br />per vear. upon permitting. within any zoning district. Temporary signs are allowed in all ZOnlllg <br />districts. but must follow tbe regulations with regard to the respective zoning district. Portable <br />simls are allowed on a temporary basis on commercially or industrially zoned pmpertv. Temporarv <br />signs are limited to 50 square feet in size. unless otherwise specified in this Section. <br /> <br />Subd.4. Automatic. Chaneeable COpy Signs. Any sign. temporary or <br />pennanent. that is defined by tIns Section as an automatic. changeable COPY sign. is subject to the <br />folIo\ving regulations: <br />a. Limited in size to 25 square feet. <br />b. COPy must not change more than 10 times per minute or every six seconds. <br />c. No scrolling or flashi.ng messages or lights are permitted. as defined bv this <br />Section. <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Institutional and Recreational Identification Sign. On8 wall <br />and/or gro:.md sign shall be permitted to identify tle ci'.'ic, philanthropic, ed::cational, public or <br />religious organizatiOl: or recreational use occupying. the parcel. There 31a11 not be more than one <br />(1) g.rou.nd sign for each parcel The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not e)~cced one <br />h'.mdred (100) sq:mre feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface urea of t\\'o <br />h:mdred (200) square feet.
