Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric <br />and/or symbolic characters without background except tp.at provided by <br />the building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />2. Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded <br />illumination, shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but <br />not any lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the face <br />or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />Llr.-Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign for each <br />parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one hundred <br />(100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface <br />area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />c. Banners. Pennants, or Fla2:s. Banners. Pennants. or Flags shall conform to the <br />temporary sign re~ulations. Banners. pennants. or fla?s may be used as <br />permanent signage. but theu' use is limited to 50% of total signage permitted for <br />wall siQTIa2:e. Non-conul1ercial speech flags are permitted in anv zoning district. <br />but are limited to 25 feet in height. <br /> <br />d. Menu Boards. Menu board(s) for drive-up or walk-up lane(s) of a drive-in <br />business are allowed up to maximum of fifty (50) square feet of siQTIage. and aTe <br />pennitted only 011 one side of the board. <br /> <br />e. Si2:ns in Parking Lots. Signs in parking lots are limited to one sign per <br />entrance and/or exit. limited to four square feet for each exposed face. and may <br />not be more than 5 feet Ul height. Anv signs required by Federal ADA statutes <br />are exempt from these regulations. Anv additional SiQ.llS in parking lots are <br />subiect to review by the ZOnUlg Admullstrator. Si2:l1s in parkUlg lots shall count <br />to\\'aTd total allowable signage. <br /> <br />f. Number of si2:Ds. No business shall have more than one pernlanent Q:TOlUld sign <br />per street frontage. Temporary signs are limited to one per parcel at anv single <br />pOUlt in time. or 1\\'0 for a multi-tenant park or center. <br /> <br />g. Sign Hei2:ht. No parcel shall contain a permanent SIgn taller than 25 feet. <br />Temporarv signs are limited to 8 feet in height. <br /> <br />h. Si2:D Location. No part of a sign shall overhang over the space above a property <br />line. No si2:l1s are permitted in the right-of-way. unless expressly permitted bv <br />this Section. <br /> <br />c.
