He suggested the current members be randomly <br />assigned tenns. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained staff would need to bring forward an <br />ordinance to amend Chapter 2 of the City Code. <br /> <br />Councilmemher Pearson noted environmental issues are governed by the EP A and government <br />agencies. He inquired what will be accomplished by forming this committee. <br /> <br />Council member Cook explained the City cannot do less than the government requirements, but <br />they can do more. The City may want to do things such as designate a protective wetland. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated the committee could be a public outreach for enviromnental <br />issues. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to direct staff to bring forward an ordinance to amend Chapter <br />2 of the City Code to form the Environmental Quality Committee. <br /> <br />2) TSM Mini Storage Project <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler presented the Council with the preliminary plat for Regency Pond 4th <br />Addition and the site plan for CNP Storage. <br /> <br />The Council, staff, and the developer discussed the following issues in relation to the TSM Mini <br />Storage Project: <br /> <br />The cul-de-sac off of 148th Avenue NW <br />Access <br />Decorative/privacy fence <br />Landscaping <br />Setbacks to residentially zoned properties to the north (bufferyard) <br />Modification ofthe grading plan <br /> <br />The following was determined: <br /> <br />Access <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated to meet the county's requirements for access on the <br />comer piece, the outlot must be dedicated back to the City as part of the platting process. He <br />would suggest the outlot be a little bigger and the drive across from l4ih Avenue incorporated as <br />suggested in the county's letter. <br /> <br />Mr. Schmidt stated it is his intention to dedicate that to the City, but he does expect to be <br />compensated for it in some way. <br /> <br />22 <br />
