<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY PROMOTING A <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER TO PATROL OFFICER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has been, and will continue to be, short- <br />staffed for an extended period of time due to a Patrol Officer being off work because of a <br />work-related injury; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending that City Council temporarily promote <br />Community Service Officer Drew Moldenhauer to Patrol. Officer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Moldenhauer would be required to meet certain physical, <br />psychological, criminal background and training requirements before being temporarily <br />promoted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there would be no additional impact to the City's budget to <br />temporarily promote Mr. Moldenhauer. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to temporarily promote Community Service Officer Drew <br />Moldenhauer to Patrol Officer for a period not to exceed six months. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: . <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council the II th day of September 2007. <br /> <br />G:lAdmini'lrationlHumanRe.ource.lRecruitmentIP0IicelPatrol\2007 Recruitments\CSO to Patrol Temporarily 9-1 I-07\Temp Promotion orcso to Patrol 9-II-07.doc <br /> <br />-237- <br />
