Mailboxes must be cleared of snow. A mailbox damaged during snow removal will not be
authorized for repair unless there is actual physical evidence it was snuck by a City snow
removal vehicle. Residents are responsible for repairs to mailboxes that are tipped or knocked
over due to the weight of plowed snow.

The City prohibits encroachment on boulevards or right-of-ways by such items as fences,
retaining walls, timbers, posts, landscaping, sprinkler systems, and rocks. Any item damaged
as a result of snow removal, including damage caused to snow plowing equipment, will be the
responsibility of the property owner.

Er0ergencv Situations

The safety of residents is always a priority.

· Requests for emergency service should be directed through 911. City Police will contact snow
removal personnel directly to coordinate plowing for an emergency situation.

The City will remove snow from f'n'e hydrants as time permits after accumulations become
significant. Residents can help the Fire Department and maintenance personnel by shoveling
around a hydrant near their property.

Effective May 14, 1996
