Mailboxes must be cleared of snow. A mailbox damaged during snow removal will not be <br />authorized for repair unless there is actual physical evidence it was snuck by a City snow <br />removal vehicle. Residents are responsible for repairs to mailboxes that are tipped or knocked <br />over due to the weight of plowed snow. <br /> <br />The City prohibits encroachment on boulevards or right-of-ways by such items as fences, <br />retaining walls, timbers, posts, landscaping, sprinkler systems, and rocks. Any item damaged <br />as a result of snow removal, including damage caused to snow plowing equipment, will be the <br />responsibility of the property owner. <br /> <br />Er0ergencv Situations <br /> <br />The safety of residents is always a priority. <br /> <br />· Requests for emergency service should be directed through 911. City Police will contact snow <br /> removal personnel directly to coordinate plowing for an emergency situation. <br /> <br />The City will remove snow from f'n'e hydrants as time permits after accumulations become <br />significant. Residents can help the Fire Department and maintenance personnel by shoveling <br />around a hydrant near their property. <br /> <br />Effective May 14, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />
