<br />CASE# 15 <br /> <br />CONSIDER JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR PRELIMINARY <br />INTERCHANGE DESIGN ON TRUNK HIGW AY 10 <br />By: Leonard Linton, Civil Engineer II <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Trunk Highway 10 Access management study was adopted. earlier this year. It outlined <br />proposed designs for the interchanges at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Ramsey Boulevar~l. The <br />City applied for and received a federal grant for design of these interchanges. The Minnesot.a <br />Department of Transportation will administer the federal grant and forward the funds to the lead <br />agency. Anoka County will be the lead agency for the project since both interchanges involve <br />county highways. Proposals were requested and reviewed to select a consultant to perform the <br />preliminary design work. The SRF Consulting Group, Inc. was selected to perform the design <br />work. The joint. powers agreement is attached for your review. The City Attorney is also <br />reviewing the document The project cost is anticipated to be $745,260. The state will <br />reimburse the county up to $62,500 from MN/DOT funds and up to $682,760 from the federal <br />grant.
