<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-09-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION. AUTHORIZING THE RENEWAL OF THE ANOKA COUNTY- <br />CITY JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County - City Joint Powers Agreement (JP A) for Mutual <br />Aid was entered into in 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the intent of the agreement is to make equipment, personnel and <br />other resources available to political subdivisions within Anoka County from other <br />political subdivisions within Anoka County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the units of government in the JP A wish to modify the terms of the <br />1981 agreement in order to conform to both existing law and to the current needs of the <br />governmental units. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorize the renewal of the Anoka <br />County - City Joint Powers Agreement for Mutual Aid. <br /> <br />2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute the Joint <br />Power Agreement for Mutual Aid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />-66- <br />
