She had a good demeanor and was very <br />straight forward in how she presented things. She was a good person to deal with. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Consider Approval of Burns Township/Ramsey Joint Powers Fire Protection <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated the proposed Joint Powers Fire Protection Agreement (JJFPA) is the <br />product of many months of work and a subcommittee between the communities of Ramsey and <br />Burns Township. The agreement will bring an elevated level of service to the communities of <br />Ramsey and Burns Township by using shared resources for fire protection. Mr. Kapler reviewed <br />the JJFP A. He advised the JJFP A will remain in force in perpetuity and includes a termination <br />clailse. He noted the contract the City of Ramsey was previously party to for fire protection did <br />not include a good termination clause, and to some extent there was not a friendly parting. He <br />thinks it is important to include a solid ternlination clause in this agreement so that if either <br />community decides to go their separate way there can be a friendly parting.
