<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-08- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #_ RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM MARY TOSO FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT TO OPERATE A BED <br />AND BREAKFAST ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7822142ND AVE NW. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Mary Toso for a home <br />occupation permit to establish a Bed and Breakfast within the principal dwelling on the property <br />generally known as 7822 142nd Ave NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 8, Block 3 Alpaca Estates 2nd Addition, Anoka County, :tvlinnesota, subject to <br />easement as shown on plat <br /> <br />(the "Subject Propertyl!) <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TillS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the fmdings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That on September 4,2007, Mary Toso, herein after referred to as "Applicantl!, properly <br />applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a bed and breakfast in her <br />home. <br /> <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the City Code on October 4, 2007, and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part ofthese fmdings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subj ect Property is zoned R-l Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is a single family lot. <br /> <br />5. That bed and breakfasts are not a permitted use in the R-l Single Family Residential <br />District. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property, that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occ"ll:pation. <br /> <br />8. That the Applicant has stated that there will be no exterior storage of business equipment <br />and materials. <br /> <br />9. That the Applicant proposes to serve no more than four (4) persons at one time (2 persons <br />per bedroom). <br /> <br />26 <br />
