<br />CASE #: 3 <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Community Development Staff <br /> <br />I ;;i .,-- <br />~i~ <br />City of \~{~' <br />RAMSEY <br /> <br />Memo <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />September 26, 2007 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />The following is a brief summary of actions taken by the City Council on September 11 and September <br />25 that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: . <br /> <br />Sunfish Lake Development - Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Places to Work to Places to Shop <br />_ Rezoning From E-1Employment to B-1 Business - Final Plat of SunfLSh Lake Development - Site <br />Plan Review of Sunfish Lake Development -TheCity Council approved all four land use applications to <br />facilitate the redevelopment of the Healthquest site at the intersection of Bunker Lake Blvd. and Sunfish <br />Lake Blvd. with commercial retail uses. <br /> <br />CBR Development's request for extension to decision regarding request for preliminary plat approval <br />of Bridgewater - City Council granted a one ye~ extension for preliminary plat approval of Bridgewater; <br />a 5-lot single family development proposed on the east side of Nowthen Blvd., just north of Sunwood <br />Drive. <br /> <br />TSM Development's request for a comprehensive plan amendment and rezoning to change a land use <br />from places to work (E-1) to places to shop (B-1), request for final plat approval of Regency Pond 4th <br />Addition and adoption of a rezoning ordinance - TSM Development proposal is the development of the <br />northeast quadrant of Bunker Lake Blvd. and Ramsey Blvd. with self-service mini-storage and retail uses. <br />Council approved all comprehensive plan land use changes and rezonings, as well as the fmal plat to <br />facilitate the development plan. <br /> <br />GGJ Properties request for an interim use permit for two main buildings on one parcel of land - City <br />Council approved the request from GGJ Properties (Cooper Bennett Floors on the south side of Hwy. <br />#10) t6 utilize the existing accessory building on the property as a second principal building to house <br />other permitted uses in the B-2 Business District. <br /> <br />Anoka County request for final plat approval of River Crossing Addition - City Council approved the <br />platting of the 41-acre Boike property on the south side of Hwy. # 1 0 into 3 parcels to facilitate Anoka <br />County acquisition of the property by the use of 3 funding sources. The property will be preserved for <br />future highway interchange for Hwy. 10 and the Mississippi River Bridge crossing. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Process: The Comp Plan series of collaborative planning sessions with the public, <br />city staff, council and comrriission members, and the City's consultant continues to be a success. The <br />remaining schedule is October 24 - extension of urban services, November 14 - traffic corridor <br />improvements, December 5 - visioning and marketing Ramsey. <br /> <br />PC: 10/04/07 <br /> <br />31 <br />
