Councilmember Strommen stated that she is not necessarily suggesting that the tower be moved to a different location. She stated that she is just unsure whether the current zoning regulations meet the City's needs given that they are fairly old. She stated that she feels this issue needs a comprehensive review and will not be able to be resolved at tonight's meeting. Mr. Edwards of T- Mobile stated that he is willing to grant a 60 -day extension to the City to continue efforts of working with the City for an appropriate tower location. He stated that he will get an official letter to the City as soon as possible granting this extension. Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to table action on the Request for a Conditional use Permit for a Telecommunications Tower in Alpine Park; Case of T- Mobile USA, for 60 days to allow staff to continue to work with the applicant to find a suitable tower location. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Look, Strommen, Dehen, Jeffrey, and Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig Case #16: Consider Outfield Fencing for Baseball Fields #2 and #3 at Alpine Park Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated that in early spring of 2007, the youth athletic association's baseball program began discussion of outfield fencing for two of the four baseball fields at Alpine Park. The total cost for the fencing will be $20,000, but the City's share will be only $5,000. He stated that the City's funding source would be the Lawful Gambling Fund and the remaining costs will be covered with money from the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association and a grant from the Minnesota Twins. Councilmember Dehen asked why only two of the four fields were getting the fencing. Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated that he anticipates that there will be a future request for fencing for these fields as well as future grant opportunities, in the next few years. Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to adopt Resolution #07 -09 -259, awarding $5,000 for outfield fencing of fields #2 and #3 at Alpine Park from the Lawful Gambling Fund. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Olson, Dehen, Look, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Elvig arrived at 9:08 p.m. Case #4: Adopt Ordinance to Rezone Property from E -1 Employment to B -1 Business, Case of TSM Development, Inc. Community Development Director Trudgeon noted that this parcel is on the corner of Ramsey Boulevard and Bunker Lake Boulevard and presented the proposed rezoning area map.
