APPLICATION FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING PREMISE PERMIT SUBMITTED <br />BY CLIMB THEATER <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: . <br />Staff recently received the attached application for a premise permit for Climb, Inc. <br />Their organization is asking for premise permits to lawful gambling (bar bingo, pull tabs, <br />and paddlewheels) at The Outpost and Diamond's Sports Bar & Grill. If the City Council <br />is not opposed to this application, they have requested a waiver of the 30 -day notice <br />provision. <br />Climb Theater is located in Inver Grove Heights, and was grandfathered in per the <br />Lawful Gambling Ordinance amended on June 26, 2007. Climb Theater is aware that if <br />at any time they do not meet the 75% lawful purpose expenditure requirement within the <br />City's trade area, they will be brought before City Council to discuss future revocation of <br />their premise permits. Per the current ordinance, if Climb Theater ever faces revocation, <br />they will not be able to reenter gaming within City limits due to their establishment not <br />being physically located in Ramsey. <br />Climb Theater has been current on the submittal of their monthly reports and is now <br />submitting the required five percent contributions of its net profits to the City. <br />Funding Source: <br />None Required <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends Council approval of the premise permits for Climb Theater at The <br />Outpost and Diamond's Sports Bar and Grill. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to recommend Council adopt Resolution #07 -10 -XXX and #07 -10 -XXX <br />Approving Climb Theater, Inc application for premise permits for lawful gambling at The <br />Outpost and Diamond's Sports Bar & Grill in Ramsey. <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Administrator: <br />Finance Officer <br />Consent: 10/9/07 <br />Consent # <br />1 0 <br />
