would like to be able to review Mr. Kurak's plans. Good Value Homes has learned in exporting
soils that this commodity is unpredictable as far as demand. Mr. Peterson stated that he is
concerned that a lot of attention be paid to the length of time the land will be left in a mining
condition.

Jerry Ameson, 5851 - 147th Lane NW, Ramsey, stated that he is opposed to Mr. Kurak's project
for environmental reasons and isn't the City's park and trail system going to be impacted by this
mining operation? Mr. Ameson stated that he wants the City to maintain its natural environment
in this area.

Robert Knoll, 6020 - 151st Lane NW, Ramsey, stated that he concurs with the City Engineer in
his assessment of the application and finding that it is inadequate in the requirements as set forth
in the City's mining ordinance and, when further information is available, the request should be
re-addressed. Mr. Knoll stated that he cannot give an opinion based on the information presented
by Mr. Kurak. He stated that he looks to the Planning Commission to see how this proposal
conforms with the existing neighborhood and the City's community development plan.

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to enter into the record
of the public hearing, letters received from Jerry and MaryJeanne Ameson, Barry Childs, Tom
and Julie Schacht and Ray Kellas.

Further discussion: Chairperson Bawden noted that all four letters raised concerns with the
proposed project and, in some cases, oppose it.

Motion carried.
