PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Monday, July 7, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a conditional use permit for an Overage in Garage and Accessory Building <br />Space; Case of Gary and Linda Grinde. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:59 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik advised that Gary and Linda Grinde have applied for a conditional use permit for an <br />overage in garage and accessory building space on their property at 5655 148th Lane NW. The <br />subject property is .9 acres in size and the Grinde's currently have a 988 square foot 3-car garage in <br />which their three vehicles are stored. They are proposing to construct a 672 square foot garage in <br />which to store other equipment. The addition of the proposed garage to the property will total 1,660 <br />square feet of garage space for a 172 square foot overage. <br /> <br />Gary Grinde, explained they are requesting 172 square feet of additional space to increase the size <br />of the building from 500 square feet to allow 672 square feet. Mr. Grinde stated none of his <br />neighbors are opposed and presented a petition in support of the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Terry to enter the letter of support <br />into the record. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/July 7, 1997 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
