PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit to Construct an Accessory Building on a Lot Prior <br />to the Principal Building; Case of Judy Kuemper. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden convened the public hearing at 8:21 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that ludy Kuemper, the applicant, owns two lots and resides <br />on the eastern parcel. She indicated Ms. Kuemper desires to construct an accessory building on the <br />western parcel. She advised City code states that no accessory building shall be constructed on a lot <br />unless there is a principal building, such as a home, existing on the lot. She indicated the accessory <br />building would be used for storage of vehicles and equipment. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik advised that four letters were received from Ms. Kuemper's neighbors <br />requesting that no business be operated out of the accessory building and that a limited number of <br />horses be stabled in the building. She explained that Ms. Kuemper intends to renovate and down size <br />the barn located on her parcel for her horses. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Commissioner Thorud, that the four letters received <br />from Ms. Kuemper's neighbors be incorporated into the public hearing minutes. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/November 4, 1997 <br /> Page I of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
