<br />~?7 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> <br /> <br />Topic Report: Discussion Regarding the Resignation of the Community <br />Development Director <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On October 25,2007, Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon submitted a letter <br />of resignation. Mr. Tmdgeon's last day of employment with the City will be November 21, <br />2007. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council accept Mr. Tmdgeon's resignation from the <br />Community Development Director position and that staffbe granted authorization to begin the <br />process to fill the Community Development Director position. <br /> <br />If at the October 30,2007 Work Session there is consensus among the City Council to allow <br />staff to begin the recruitment process, a resolution ratifying the City Council's direction will <br />be presented at the November 13,2007 meeting of the City Council. <br /> <br />Funding Sonne <br /> <br />The Community Development Director position is included in the 2007 General Fund <br />Budget and there are no additional costs associated with filling the vacancy. <br /> <br />City CouneR Action <br /> <br />By consensus, accept the resignation of the Community Development Director and direct staff <br />to begin the recruitment process to fill the Community Development Director position. <br /> <br />ccws: October 30,2007 <br /> <br />RevrewedBy: ~b.' il <br />City Administrator ~ -r. .
