<br />Ms. Mary Toso stated since there is just one rest room between the two bedrooms so if people <br />~ame to stay they would need to be acquainted with each other. She stated it is a pretty small- <br />scale business. She stated they are trying to expose their quiet and serene surroundings with <br />other people. She thought the property would lend itself nicely to that. ' <br /> <br />Ms. Toso stated this was in place before the Diamonds issue came up and if that were approved <br />she was not sure she would be interesting in running a bed and breakfast since most guests would <br />come on the weekend and they are very close to Diamonds. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cleveland asked if it was anticipated to have this only on the weekends. <br /> <br />Ms. Toso stated she was planning on having guests all week long but the majority of people <br />would be there on the weekend. <br /> <br />Mr: Bill Wright, 7884 142nd, stated he wanted to support what the applicant wants to do and did <br />not think it would be a problem for the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Brown, 7854 142nd Avenue, stated he was also in favor of this. <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Nixt, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Brauer, Cleveland, Hunt, Trites <br />Rolle, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Levine. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:38 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 8:38 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Trites Rolle, to recommend that <br />City Council adopt Findings of Fact relating, to Mary Toso's request for a home occupation <br />permit to operate a Bed and Breakfast. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Trites Rolle, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, and Hunt. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Levine. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Trites Rolle, to recommend that <br />the City Council approve Mary Toso's request for a home occupation permit based on the <br />Findings of Fact, and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same with an amendment to item six <br />indicating the sign needs to be out of the right of way and on the applicants property and not to <br />exceed I 'x3' or three square feet. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Trites Rolle, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, and Hunt. Voting No: None.
