<br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that he feels the City Council needs to think about whether it <br />should push for a comprehensive plan amendment on this property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City Council would need to adopt Findings of Fact if they <br />decide to deny this request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #07- <br />10-270 adopting Findings of Fact #0810, as amended, to deny the request for a Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment to Metropolitan Council for the Case of Dan Murphy and Tim Holm. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V otingNo: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig reiterated that he is against commercial development on this property to <br />protect the residents in the area that have voiced their opposition. He stated that he supports <br />beginning the process of a comprehensive plan amendment to allow low density housing and <br />supports the City Council initiating the public hearing process to make that happen. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated that he would like the record to show that if this lot sells to a <br />. commercial entity tomorrow that the residents stated at tonight's meeting that they are in favor of <br />that type of development. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that he agreed with Councilmember Elvig that the City Council <br />should begin the process for a comprehensive plan amendment.
